Recently in Copenhagen, there was a meeting to talk about our changing climate. The main purpose of this meeting is to gain support of a global fund to combat climate change. In 2012, the Kyoto Protocol (prior agreement to fight global warming by reducing emissions) ends. The new fund will hopefully further the progress of the Kyoto Protocol, although many do not believe it will.
Funny Fact: The US is the only country that had no intention of agreeing or complying with the Kyoto Protocol agreement. The US also was responsible for over a third of the 1990 greenhouse gas emission levels.
