Oregon isn’t typically known for its sunshine, so it may be hard to believe that Oregon ranks high among states with the most renewable energy usage, including solar panels. A report from renewable energy says Oregon is one of the best states for regulations that encourage renewable energy. Many Oregonians have solar panels or small wind turbines at their homes which generate electricity to power back the utilities which they are connected to. These forms of renewable energy make it possible for owners to become energy independent. The report states, “The fact that Oregon is continually working to facilitate and incentivize renewable energy makes it one of the nation’s leaders in renewable energy policy”.
