Scientists have found something disturbing welling up in the Pacific Ocean Gyre. It is a huge sea of plastic around the surface size of the state of Texas, and almost 30 feet deep! Disgusting right?! No one ever thinks that littering one bottle inland would have a great affect on our world. But those littered cans/bottles flow into storm drains and right into waterways which flow to the ocean. The Pacific Gyre collected all of this trash and placed it in a concentrated area, right in the middle of the Ocean.
